Cookie notice
Last reviewed: 12 October 2026
This notice covers cookies, browser storage and third-party resources used by the AB Roofing Specialists website. Cookies are one type of storage; scripts can also use local storage or session storage, and an external resource can make a request without setting a cookie.
Your choices
Google Analytics and advertising measurement start switched off. You can accept optional measurement, reject it, or choose the categories separately through Manage preferences. You can browse the site, use the project gallery and contact us with both categories switched off.
Use Cookie settings in the footer to reopen your preferences or withdraw optional consent. Reducing consent reloads the page so the previously enabled measurement runtime is removed. The website also attempts to remove its known first-party Google measurement cookies. It cannot remove cookies held by separate third-party websites or apps.
If a browser prevents both saving a denial and reloading the page, the preferences panel explains that the change could not finish and asks you to close the page to stop the previously enabled measurement.
Remembering your choice
The website stores the preference record ab_roofing_consent_v1 in your browser’s local storage. It contains your analytics and advertising choices and the time they were saved. The website treats that record as valid for 30 days, then asks for a new choice when you return.
The WordPress consent connection also uses first-party category cookies named wp_consent_statistics, wp_consent_statistics-anonymous, wp_consent_marketing and wp_consent_preferences. Their current configured expiry is 30 days, renewed when the website synchronises the choices. They communicate your permissions to website plugins.
If the preference record cannot be saved, the website keeps both optional categories off and tries to remove the old record. A denial fallback named ab_roofing_consent_denied_v1 can be stored in session storage until that browser session ends, or in a first-party cookie for 30 days. These fallbacks only remember refusal. If writable preference stores are unavailable, the website can add ab_consent=deny to its own page URL and carry that refusal through website links. External links receive no added parameter. A new positive choice clears denial fallbacks only after the accepted record is saved and verified.
Analytics
When you choose Analytics, the website enables Google Analytics to measure website use and contact interactions. Website code requests a 30-day expiry for Analytics cookies and disables automatic cookie-expiry updates. It keeps Google advertising signals and advertising personalisation disabled in the Analytics configuration.
Advertising measurement
When you choose Advertising measurement, the website enables its existing Google Ads configuration to measure advertising-related visits and contact interactions. Website code keeps personalised advertising disabled. Google’s services determine the cookies and processing associated with this configuration; see Google’s privacy information.
The existing public configuration uses Google tag GT-KVN9823B, Analytics identifier G-TE6V9RGNXV and Ads identifier AW-18326294736. These identify the website’s configured measurement services.
Fonts and site features
The website loads Google font stylesheets and font files from Google’s servers. Those requests support the site’s typography and are independent of the optional measurement categories.
WordPress includes session-storage support for emoji-display capability. The WhatsApp contact software also includes browser-storage functions for its contact features. Project-gallery media detected on this website is hosted on the website’s own domain.
WhatsApp and review links open separate services only when you choose those links. Their privacy information applies when you use them; this website’s measurement choices do not control their services.
